This was possibly our last chance to compete in a "Pro" Rally, but the 2001 LSPR was a good event for Team Harco. (New rules place restrictions on car age and turbo inlet size. Increasing costs will also likely conspire to keep us in Club Rally.)

The Brockway Mountain Stage on day two of the the 2001 LSPR. The huge crowds all along the stage prompted me to tap the brake just before launching here. Still we turned the 14th fastest time (0.01 behind Henry Joy - who must not have tapped his brake). Photo by Patrick Munits.

Scott Harvey and Jeff Hribar ran consistently in the top 20 for most of the rally. Several minutes were lost to the competition when the team gave assistance to Vinson/Beels, who ran out of fuel on a stage. After towing the big Toyota to the end of the stage, the Team Harco Talon began experiencing a bleed-off of boost pressure. Mid-way through Day Two it was discovered that a hose clamp had come loose on one of the intercooler pipes. After this simple repair, the team again started laying down some respectable stage times.

Ultimately the team finished 23rd overall and 7th in PGT. Of some consolation is the fact that they set the 14th fastest time on the Brockway Mountain stage.
