A popular theme here, another flying car. "Eagle 1" takes flight over a bridge on Detroit's Belle Isle.

This car has been daily transportation and a reliable performer in many forms of competition. When purchased used in Fall of 1991, the car had 20,000 miles on it. Ever since that time it has been the Team Harco car of choice for Road Rally competition. Several Detroit Region and CenDiv (SCCA) championships have been claimed with this car. Early on, it was also used as an autocross car, and has several ice race wins to its credit. "Eagle 1" has nearly 200,000 miles on it now (early in 2002) and, aside from some minor rust spots, is as strong and reliable as ever.

A photo from the January 2001 issue of SportsCar magazine. Photos and the accompanying story by James Heine recounted the events of the United States Road Rally Challenge (USRRC) from LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Team Harco's Harvey/ Mickle placed 3rd in the Badger Trails rally on Sunday, October 15th, 2000. The USRRC is considered Road Rallies' "All-Star Game".
